I haven't been to many festivals mainly because the people who often go to them often aren't very interested in seeing the bands. They go for the vibe, the drugs, the lovely like minded people and other things I couldn't give monkey's nuts about. On this occasion however all the people I was going with were there to hear the music, or at least some of it.
Anyway I saw Divine Comedy and Pavement who were my highlights because I didn't expect them to be half as good as they were and Ash and Blur who were very entertaining. I suppose one of the better aspects of this day was that all the bands seemed happy to do their greatest hits sets, which is the sort of thing they just don't do in indoor gigs.
