Matthew Sweet

I'm a big fan of Matthew Sweet which is actually quite a problem if you live in Britain. Firstly, he doesn't sell any records here so he has virtually no incentive to play here. Secondly, he's scared of flying so taking a boat over here so he can be completely ignored mustn't seem too appealing.
In my ignorance I decided to miss his previous gig in London because I didn't fancy going on my own. If I'd known I'd have to wait four years I might not have been so fussy. Anyway, me and Simon went along and it just happened to be one of the hottest days of the year. Inside the venue it was boiling hot. There would be no dancing tonight.
I'm glad to say that the Matthew Sweet live experience was a very good one and with a back catalogue of songs like his it's very hard to go wrong.
