Say what you want about Nine Inch Nails now but Reznor put together a couple of great albums at the start of his career. This show was supporting the overblown Downward Spiral album but it would have been criminal to miss this gig. Unfortunately we could only get tickets standing upstairs, which must be the worst tickets at any gig.
It's a shame that when you get bad tickets, it's really hard to feel enthusiastic about the performance. This might have been the best gig since cavemen first bashed rocks together to make a drumkit, but I was too busy getting drunk to notice.
Strangely enough, I later worked out that the lovely young lady who is now my wife was at this show too. Spooky.
