This was the tour for the Modern Life is Rubbish album where the stage was done out like a teenagers bedroom. I'm glad to say his was before the whole insane Britpop thing.
Blur were quite a loose band at the time, much more than they are these days and they couldn't really do their material justice.
While the gig was going on we were all being treated to Richard slagging off his girlfriend to her face (in front of his next girlfriend as it happens). That was the end of that relationship, I just wish he'd sorted all that out before the gig. Oh well.
